About Us

At The Hobby Hive, we don’t just sell The Hobby, we live it.  Like many new collectors, brothers Joe and Robert Gossweiler fell in love with sports cards during the boom or, “covid renaissance years” if you will, that began in 2019. Having young children of their own, they recognized the enthusiasm and youthfulness of the modern collector demographic and began to entertain ideas of opening their own store.  Finally, in August of 2022, their passion for The Hobby manifested itself via the acquisition of their own bricks and mortar card shop. 

The Hobby Hive is the prototype for the modern card store. Our inventory categories include all sports, Pokemon, Magic, and more.  And while our focus is on wax and singles, we also carry a vast memorabilia collection. Our memorabilia collection ranges from NFL Helmets to movie star autographs to musician artwork and everything in between.

As local Jersey guys, it’s incredibly important to us to give back to the community. We’d love to do whatever we can to support youth sports or any other local endeavors. Just come in and see us! In addition to sponsorship opportunities, we are currently finalizing details to host kids birthday parties from the store. There will be multiple different tiered packages available! 

We certainly look forward to seeing you in the store, but that’s not the only way to engage with The Hobby Hive. In the weeks to come, we will be establishing our online presence via the popular community marketplace Whatnot. We look forward to running the most exciting and highest quality “breaks” in the industry.
